Parent-Child Macaron Workshop: For children ages 4 - 8
Spend two hours with your child creating these delicious, classic French sweets. Participants will learn all of the techniques for making macarons. Children will practice mixing, piping and filling (some fillings may be made ahead of time) their very own macarons. You will leave the class with a happy child, the tools necessary to create macarons at your home, and a decorated box full of delicious macarons. Perfect for an afternoon treat, teacher's gift, the Thanksgiving table, or a surprise to save for later (macarons will save in the freezer for up to 3 months.)
Child(ren) must be accompanied by 1 adult (included in price)

All kidding aside, one of the most important things you can do for your child’s physical health, their development, their independence and even their emotional wellbeing is getting them in the kitchen cooking and baking. Before I brought my three children into the world, I was working as a Play Therapist while entering a PhD program with the intention of continuing my studies in several alternative therapies including animal assisted therapy and art therapy. Cooking is an art! Give your child this awesome opportunity to express themselves in this creative, utilitarian and safe manner, while learning age-appropriate info about health and nutrition. The kids may also have an opportunity to take a tour of our urban, backyard farm!
